CROATIA: Trams in Osijek

This affordable tram tour takes us to the less visited system in Osijek. The Osijek tram is the oldest tram in Croatia and, along with the Zagreb tram, the only remaining tram in the country. The tramway opened in 1884 as a horse-drawn tram and was electrified in 1926. The meter-gauge network, operated by GPP Osijek, is 17 kilometers long and served by two lines. The rolling stock consists primarily of modernized Tatra T3 and Duewag six-axle trams. Recently, new TMK2500 trams built by Crotram have also been added.
We will explore the network with a charter on the historic tram #8 (from 1926), visit the depot, and have plenty of time for rides and photos/videos of daily operations!
A long weekend is planned, Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday, plus a flight to Osijek.
